Near Future Terrain

Some quick models I put together for modern and near future gaming. It's simple stuff but there's not all that much 28mm terrain available that grabs my attention. Skirmish games like Infinity need a lot of it to populate a board so i figured what the heck. I'm hoping to have these back from the printer within about a week or so.

  1. These look great. I'm a 3D modeler and do a lot of my own sculpts and such. Was just curious where you get these printed at as I'd like to get some of my stuff done as well. Keep up the great work!

  2. I've used for quite a few pieces which gives a pretty good set of parts. It does take a little bit of clean up work. There are also a number of companies that print using solid scape wax printers. Ninja Magic appears to have really good prints but I haven't personally used them. From what I understand they are fragile so you need to make a good resin or metal copy to use as a master as the wax doens't survive molding.

When I first started out I used Shapeways but their material wasn't all that great. They've since upgraded their options and the Ultra Frosted Detail is supposed to have a much better resolution but I don't have any first hand experience with it. Shapeways tends to be a more cost effective option if you want to do test prints before doing a final model with a more expensive process.
