  2. Hi,

I am putting together a Warhammer army (28mm) for the unofficial, medieval-chinese-inspired, Cathay, who have a special weapon called the Cathayan Longsword. The general swords that come with the historical models don't quite have the punch that I'm looking for.

However, I came across your post titled Hatamoto-Chi (Friday, July 15, 2011), in which you show a selection of really well modeled swords of which you had created masters that you then were able to recast in resin.
Is there any way I could get my hands on, say, 15 or so of the No-Daichi (or even the Ogre-No-Daichi sword, depending on the exact lengths)?
Please reply to let me know, either way.

    Thanks
    Chris

  3. I had problems with getting those swords to cast properly and I've since lost the originals. I'd need to have the parts reprinted in order to make more.

If you are looking for katana styled swords there are a few options from wargames factory. Their great coat commander have a katana styled sword whcih you can buy as a bit on ebay. They do have samurai models although those may be what you were referring to earlier.

Other options might include swords from the Bushido line. Reaper makes several weapon packs although I don't know if they have katanas. Valiant carries a variety of samurai miniatures from the Clan Wars line which may have parts suitable for what you need.

I'd also try Kromlech, or Maxmini Eu as they make a variety of weapons.
